LONG TIME COMIN BIO:
Long Time Comin began by combining metal and blues music together. Formed in 2001 by Brian Bayer (lead guitar), Marcos Galvan (drums), and Hal Vorpahl (bass/vocals) the band worked hard playing live shows in and around Austin and writing songs about Texas, love, booze, and blues. After a few years the band experienced growing pains that most young bands do, and after numerous personnel changes the band became what it is today. Brian began singing the vocals and writing new songs, Marcos kept on bangin' the skins and good friend/former bassist for LTC, Monte Peck playing bass.
LTC released it's first album self-titled, in August of 2006. The album wound up with songs compiled from a couple of former LTC songs, new songs written by Brian, and songs written in the studio. The result was a surprisingly diverse showing of songs from the band. The obvious single was "Fell to Earth". Almost alternative sounding, it stands out and is a stretch in a different direction. Then, songs like "Be my Prescription", "Mojo Baux" and "Crystallized" holler back to the heavy rock n roll that defined the bands early sound.
Shortly after the album's release, LTC sought out a new bass player and found Jeremy Govero, from St. Louis. Plans for 2007 are to write new songs for the next album, do a small amount of touring and keep searching for the dirty blues sound three friends set out to find years ago.
